Cork County Council will have to carry out immediate investigations into the flooding that hit Carrigaline, Ballygarvan, Rochestown and Glenbrook if it ti be avoided in the future.

A Public Exhibition of the proposed Passage West to Rochestown Cycle Route will be held in the Rochestown Park Hotel from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday 2nd September 2009.

The condition of the Rochestown Road has been allowed deteriorate to an unacceptable extent for such a busy road and is a major concern for local residents and regular road users. Cork County Council have now announced a plan for traffic calming and road improvement works and the public have until the 17th July to make submissions.
