Ireland South MEP Deirdre Clune has welcomed the National Development Plan adding that we need a good road infrastructure for all vehicles, including electric vehicles, electric goods vehicles and electric buses.

“I am delighted to see such exciting and ambitious plans for the future of Ireland included in the National Development Plan. I am especially glad to see €35 billion has been allocated over 10 years for new public transport, new roads, new active travel projects and continued investment in international connectivity via our ports and airports. This is the largest-ever investment in transport infrastructure in the history of the State. We need a high quality road infrastructure in Ireland and all cars, including electric vehicles, electric goods vehicles and electric buses need good quality roads and will be using these roads. The commitment to the Cork-Limerick M20 Motorway will be of huge benefit to the Munster area”.
