Public crying out for a leadership which this Government is incapable of
Filed under: General News , also relevant to: Personal Comment
Today’s Irish Independent poll results can best be described as a snapshot of an Irish public crying out for leadership.
People who less than two years ago voted for Fianna Fáil and the Greens and now turning their backs on them in their thousands because they have been let down. In this time of economic crisis the Government has offered the people of Ireland no leadership, no plan and no hope.
From the Taoiseach down it has refused to listen to advice or alternative solutions offered by the opposition parties, the social partners or the public on the streets. A Government incapable of listening is a Government incapable of leading. What the country needs now is a new Government with a fresh mandate.
