By slashing the roads budget for Cork City Council and Cork County Council the Minister for Transport has created a false economy that will in the long run cost far more than it saves.

BMI’s decision to axe two routes out of Cork Airport this spring is another blow for the region. The Government needs to take the positive step of abolishing the Airport Travel Tax now.
