AGE Action Ireland is expanding it’s Care & Repair scheme in Cork to look after the household repair needs of elderly people. Local TD Deirdre Clune has welcomed the news saying there are many people in Cork who are in need of help around the house but don’t have the confidence or finances to do them.

A new HSE adolescent and child care unit is soon to open in Blackrock, Cork city to help expand existing regional inpatient services located in St Stephen’s Hospital in Glanmire, Co Cork. Deputy Clune welcomes the unit but hopes it will provide services for those suffering with eating disorders.
