Clune to host important Tourism Seminar in Cork

Clune calls on tourism business to get online

Ireland South MEP, and member of the EU Tourism Taskforce, Deirdre Clune is hosting an important tourism seminar in Cork this coming Thursday, September 17th.

A range of expert speakers will share their vast experience on how tourism business can take advantage of online markets, government grants and state supports for tourism. Speaking in advance of the seminar, Clune highlighted some recent statistics in the area of tourism,

“Fáilte Ireland research shows that over 73% of holidaymakers to Ireland use the internet for planning a holiday here. Booking are being made on tablets and smartphones now. Tourism providers need to be aware of how the tourism market and the tourists booking habits are changing so that they can keep attracting new business.

“This seminar is designed to help tourism providers by exploring how they can improve their business and what help is available from the state to do so.

“If you own a restaurant, Bed and Breakfast, bar or any business that depends on attracting tourists through the door, then I would encourage you to come along on Thursday night.
