A STATUS RED weather warning has been issued by Met Éireann, with storm force winds and heavy rain expected to hit the south coast of Ireland tomorrow morning.

At this stage public safety is of primary concern and people need to take great care. Consequently I have taken the decision to cancel the seminar I was due to host tomorrow morning in Cork City on Mental Health and Active Ageing. 

Sincere apologies to all those who will be inconvenienced as a result and I would like to thank those who had committed to speaking and attending the event including Minister of State, Jim Daly TD, Dr Eleanor Mullan, HSE, Martin Rogan, Mental Health Ireland, Peter Kavanagh, Active Retirement Ireland and Catherine Cox, Family Carers.
